A camping unit is permitted to camp for a period of 14 continuous days in one location. The camper must then move to a new campsite.
All on-line reservations must be made a minimum of 5 days in advance of arrival, for example, you must reserve before Monday if your arrival is Friday.
You must camp in the site you reserved.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY:
Please understand reservations are not transferable and at the time of booking your reservation you immediately prohibit others from reserving and utilizing the camp site. Should YOU decide to CANCEL your reservation, there are NO REFUNDS. Please contact the Clay County Conservation Office before 7 days of your reservation if you need to change reservation dates (limited to one change). The rental fee will only be refunded in full when cancellation occurs due to circumstances beyond the Conservation Board’s control that deem your site unusable and/or a like campsite is not available.

General Camping Rules:

CAMPING RESERVATION CONTRACT:
You are reserving a facility from the Clay County Conservation Board. All COUNTY PARK RULES and STATE LAWS are enforced. The entire RULES and REGULATIONS may be found in “Related Items” at the bottom of the Clay County home page on this website. Contact the Office at the above location, phone or email if you have questions concerning park rules, policies or special requests. Park Staff have the authority to refuse rental privileges and rescind any and all rental permits for cause.
By your agreement with these terms and conditions, you represent that you are 18 years or older (21 years or older if alcohol will be at your campsite), you will be present during your stay and that you are authorized to make the reservation on behalf of the camping party you have listed. You further agree to assume full responsibility for the acts, negligence or omissions of the members of your group while utilizing said facilities.
Additionally, you agree that you have read and understand the CANCELLATION and REFUND POLICIES concerning this reservation and have also read and understand the FACILITY CONTRACT RULES information.
FACILITY CONTRACT RULES:
1) Check-in is after 3:00 PM and before 10:00 PM. Check-out is before 1:00 PM. You MUST set up on your reserved site. Changing sites or campgrounds IS NOT allowed. No set up or take down of equipment allowed between 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM.
2) No subletting of campsites to other campers/park guests is allowed. The individual’s name who is on the reservation has to be present on the site.
3) SPEED LIMIT in the campgrounds is 5 MPH.
4) One camping unit is allowed per site. One family or five persons per site. One additional small tent for children under the age of 18 is allowed on the site. All other tents or camping units must obtain their own site.
5) Parking shall be only on your site pad with all wheels on the gravel area or in the designated parking areas. No parking on or along the roadways or in the grass.
6) Quiet Hours are in effect from 10:30 PM to 6:00 AM. Music, television, radio, conversation, generators, vehicles or any other noise must be kept to a minimum as to not disturb others.
7) All non-registered guests and visitors must leave the campground by 10:30 PM. Scharnberg Park is closed to non-registered guests between the hours of 10:30 PM and 6:00 AM.
8) For the safety of your pet and others, ALL pets must be on a leash not to exceed 6’ off site and tethered or kenneled at ALL times on site. Keep pets quiet and mannerly. Bag and trash ALL waste. Do not leave pets unattended outside your unit. Pets are NOT allowed in restrooms/showers. Failure to comply will result in request from Park Staff for removal of your pet from the area.
9) You are required to clean-up your campsite and keep it orderly. The burning of trash is toxic to others, please DO NOT BURN TRASH. All refuse must be placed in provided dumpsters.
10) You will not serve alcoholic beverages to any intoxicated persons. You will assume full responsibility for the care and well-being of all social guests of yours while on County property, and you will also assume full responsibility for your social guests that consume alcoholic beverages at this conservation area.
11) You will agree to indemnify and hold harmless Clay County, the Clay County Conservation Board, and its employees from any and all liability that may arise which is proximately caused by the consumption of alcoholic beverages on County premises by you, your invitees, or your social guests whether any such injury occurs on County property or otherwise.
12) No keg beer allowed in the campgrounds.
13) Smoking is prohibited in ALL buildings.
14) Out of State Firewood is prohibited. All wood must have a label of origin.
15) You agree that you shall leave the premises in good order and in a clean, sanitary and safe condition, and that you will abide by all regulations ordinances and laws applicable to the use of said premises.
16) Any violation of this agreement shall result in termination of your possession of the premises and may result in criminal and/or civil sanctions.
